Troubleshooting for Genymotion error “unable to start the virtual device”

If you are also getting this type of error message from Genymotion then try these methods:

Error message

Method A:

1. Uninstall the Genymotion once and then reinstall the program.

2. After reinstallation run Genymotion as an administrator. Your problem will be solved, if not then go with the Method B.

Method B:

  1. Open the VirtualBox and you will find the virtual device you have install in Genymotion (In my case it is Google Pixel 2). Now click the start button of virtual device.

2. While booting you will get this type of VirtualBox- Error.

3. Click on change network setting option.

(Because here multiple host adapter is present)

4. To configure follow these steps:

(Fig 4.0: Open VirtualBox and click on file option on top corner)
(Fig 4.1: In file option select Host Network Manager setting)
(Fig 4.2: In Host Network Manager you may see multiple Adapter)
(Fig 4.3: Just go and remove all the adapter present in Host Network Manager)
(Fig 4.4: I have removed all the adapter in Host Network Manager)

5. After configuring the network setting in VirtualBox just go ahead and start the Genymotion android device

(Fig 5.1: Virtual Device starting without any error)
(Fig 5.2: Virtual Device booted Successfully)

With the help of these two methods your Genymotion problem will be solved 100%
